2022 saw the AFL uncover a host of stars, while some well-known names strengthened their place and pedigree thanks to stellar campaigns.
So, we've attempted to compile a list ranking the 10 players that improved the most this season.
This list takes a look at where these players were positioned at the conclusion of the 2021 season and how they rank 12 months on.
Note: Players are required to have featured in the AFL in 2021, meaning Geelong forward Tyson Stengle was not eligible for our list.

2. George Hewett
The Blues inside onballer could make a case as the recruit of the year, with Hewett having an immediate impact on Carlton's new-look outfit under Michael Voss.
After leaving Sydney through free agency, some question home Hewett may fit into Carlton's engine room ensemble alongside the likes of Patrick Cripps, Adam Cerra and Sam Walsh.
But if anything, Hewett made those around him greater, along with hitting PBs in a handful of key areas as a midfielder.
Hewett hadn't averaged over 20 possessions in a single season since 2019, and this year he amassed 28.47 per game to go along with 4.87 tackles, 4.2 inside 50s, 6.6 clearances and 12.67 contested possessions per game, all metrics that are now career-bests for the 26-year-old.

With the Blues falling just short of the September hurdle in 2022, expect Hewett to help lead his side into the finals frame next year.
Nick Daicos should be in the top 10 when we are talking about “improvement”, taking into consideration he was in the NAB League in 2021
