In the fourth and final instalment of our 2023 AFL position rankings, we've named the top ten forwards of the year.
It was an interrupted season for many key forwards, with the likes of Tom Lynch, Mitch Lewis and Max King all dealing with injury setbacks to see their campaigns limited.
Nevertheless, their absences came as new premier forwards emerged to the fore, with a number of attackers enjoying career-best seasons in 2023.
Between the dominant tall forwards or the threatening smalls, a number of new faces are sure to appear in this year's rankings.

Here we rank the top 10 forwards based solely on their 2023 campaigns...
1. Toby Greene
A stellar season by the Giants skipper, who would earn captaincy honours for the All-Australian team in what was Greene's third selection in the side.
Greene kicked 66 goals (fourth best in the AFL) in 2023 and assisted a further 26 (third best) to enjoy a dominant year as the Giants came one point short of a grand-final finish.
Greene would also rank in the top three for score involvements and top ten for tackles inside 50 this year on his way to polling 20 Brownlow votes - the most of any forward this year and Greene's career-best by eight votes.
It was almost a perfect year for Greene, who flourished in the role as sole captain of GWS under new coach Adam Kingsley, going goalless in just one appearance and kicking multiple majors in 21 games to lead from the front.
