In the fourth and final instalment of our 2023 AFL position rankings, we've named the top ten forwards of the year.

It was an interrupted season for many key forwards, with the likes of Tom Lynch, Mitch Lewis and Max King all dealing with injury setbacks to see their campaigns limited.

Nevertheless, their absences came as new premier forwards emerged to the fore, with a number of attackers enjoying career-best seasons in 2023.

Between the dominant tall forwards or the threatening smalls, a number of new faces are sure to appear in this year's rankings.

2. Charlie Curnow

Took out his second successive Coleman Medal after kicking 78 goals during the home and away season - 15 more than his 2022 haul.

A further three goals during the finals saw Curnow become the first player to go past the 80-goal barrier since 2016 and the fifth Carlton player to do so in the club's history.

It would be Curnow's elite aerial dominance that would help set his goal tally, taking 180 marks for the year to place 26 ahead of the next-best forward while also ranking No.1 in the league for marks inside 50 (73) and contested marks (67).
