Here's the top 10 number 1 draft picks since 2000:
8. Brett DeledioÂ
The man they call 'Lids' was a Tigers fan favourite. Drafted by Richmond in the 2004 draft, Deledio excelled as not only a midfielder but also a skilled forward.
Known for his exceptional ball use and athleticism, Delidio was exciting to watch and over his 275 games, 'Lids' kicked 197 goals and averaged 22.2 disposals per game in the process. His resume also included two All-Australians and two best-and-fairests.
The Victorian missed out on the Tigers dynasty when moving to the GWS Giants at the end of the 2016 season, but he will always be remembered as a Tigers legend given his life-membership status at Punt Road.
