The greatest to ever don the yellow & black and arguably the greatest AFL player of a generation, Dustin Martinย has finalised his career after 15 seasons and 302 games with the Richmond Tigers.

Renowned nation-wide as the only player in history with three Norm Smith Medals to his name, Martin's catalogue of iconic performances may be more prolific than any other.

The title of 'big-game player' could never be more appropriately attributed, with Dusty's ability to save his crowning moments for the grandest occasions.

Unsurprisingly, all three of his Grand Final performances make the list, as do a number of other finals, the question is... in what order?

5. 2019, Qualifying Final vs Brisbane - 112-65 win

  • 14 disposals (12 effective)
  • 6 goals*
  • 1 goal assist
  • 10 score involvements
  • 13 contested possessions
  • 111 SuperCoach points

These teams met two weeks prior in the final home & away match of the season, but the Lions were still without an answer for number four.

Forwards have been unable to rip apart finals for a long time, and midfielders who can hit the scoreboard at all in September are fondly remembered for their efforts.

So a bag of six for a primary midfielder in a qualifying final in hostile territory is a feat that may not be repeated for decades.

With just 14 touches of the footy, Dusty could not have impacted the match more; 13 of them contested, 12 effective, 10 leading to scores and six from his own boot, it is one of the iconic finals performances of the 2010s.
