The 2012 draft wasn't the deepest draft in recent times, but the first round was stacked with talent.

There were some howlers in there too and some players that never came close to fulfilling their expectations.

We take a look at the entire national draft and redraft the first 15 picks.

Pick 1. Brodie Grundy

Not many players get $7 million over seven years and no ruckman has ever come close. Grundy is different gravy. The big South Australian has it all - he is an elite tap ruckman, his follow up work is clean and crisp, he racks it up at will and his ball use is staggeringly good for a big man. We've never seen a ruckman quite like Grundy. If the Giants landed him it's scary to think how good they could have been and how many premierships they might have won.
