Collingwood head coach Craig McRae has swung the axe ahead of his side's qualifying final against Melbourne on Thursday night, dropping rebounding defender John Noble.
The call, no doubt, came as a blow to Noble, especially given the 26-year-old had featured in all 23 of the Magpies' fixtures this season.
McRae's call to leave Noble out of his side will also see the tattooed defender's streak of 83 uninterrupted AFL appearances come to a close.
Noble's devastation ahead of the Pies' Dee-date was palpable, with 7News cameras capturing skipper Darcy Moore and young gun Nick Daicos consoling the half-back.
Since making his way to the Woods with the 14th pick of the 2019 mid-season draft, Noble has worn Collingwood's famous black and white bars on 92 occasions, with the South Australian averaging more than 21 games in each of his four full seasons with the club.
