Recently retired Port Adelaide veteran Jack Watts faces charges over an alleged crash earlier this month, according to 7News.
The alleged incident occurred in Adelaide’s west on September 20 - four days prior to the 29-year old announcing his retirement.
It is alleged that Watts collided with another vehicle and faces charges for driving without care and failing to report a crash.
He was reported to police following an investigation into the incident.
“Police outlined the allegations that Watts was driving a Toyota Kluger at 2pm on Coral Sea Road and failed to stop after colliding with a parked Mazda Sedan,” Channel 7 reporter Mark Mooney said.
“Watts will have to front court. but a short time ago his manager told 7 News the collision was minor and he will be defending the charges.”
The former No. 1 pick played 174 for the Demons and Port Adelaide across his 11-year career.
