West Coast young gun Harley Reid has moved up two places in our Rookie Rankings after Gather Round, going ahead of two Demons to sit second overall.
The weekend's results have seen some movement among our top five, with Reid's impressive afternoon at Mt Barker forcing some change near the top.
Perhaps the biggest talking point from the weekend surrounding eligible rookies is Gold Coast draftee Sam Clohesy, who had arguably the most impressive debut game we've seen this year.
Clohesy recorded 22 disposals, eight marks, 489 metres gained, five inside 50s, four score involvements and four intercept possessions across half-back and on the wing.
Western Bulldogs youngster Ryley Sanders also gets an honourable mention from Round 4, with the Pick 6 selection not far from breaking into our top five.
Selection Criteria: For our Rookie Rankings, we are ONLY selecting players who have made their debut this season.
Other players who may still be eligible for a Rising Star nomination but have already made their debut before the 2024 season will not be considered. I.e. Rising Star eligible players such as George Wardlaw, Angus Sheldrick and Sam Darcy are ineligible, having already played an AFL match before Round 1, 2024.
Round 4 Honourable Mentions:
Sam Clohesy (Gold Coast)
Will Graham (Gold Coast)
Ryley Sanders (Western Bulldogs)
Darcy Wilson (St Kilda)
The Tigers forward played a role higher up the field at Norwood as Adem Yze looked to use Campbell's link-up play around the ball on the smaller field.
Campbell came away from Sunday's loss with 18 disposals, two goal assists and almost 400 metres gained at The Parade to further impress in his strong start to the season.

With the likes of Ryley Sanders and Harvey Thomas among those on the fringes of our Rookie Rankings, Campbell could need a big performance in Round 5 against West Coast to hold his place in our top five before Richmond's scheduled bye.
It was another slow start for Howes on Thursday night, collecting just one touch before the main break against the Crows before finding more of the ball in the second half.
Howes has had a few slow starts across the opening five rounds but looks to grow across the game, with Thursday's win perhaps his quietest performance yet.
The young Demons defender has remained a stable asset on Simon Goodwin's last line though, and should hold his place in Melbourne's side for Thursday's clash with Brisbane.

The matchup with the Lions will be Melbourne's last outing before their Round 6 bye, giving Howes the chance to strengthen his place in our Rookie Rankings before an early break.
It's hard to fault Windsor's Round 4 efforts, but it's the form of a fellow top 2023 draft pick that has forced the Demons wingman to drop one spot in our rankings.
The pacey teenager collected 16 disposals against the Crows to rank fourth highest among Melbourne's midfielders, with Windsor also recording six score involvements, four inside 50s and 431 metres gained on the night.
With each week Windsor has only further secured a role on the wing for Melbourne, with a Rising Star nomination likely not too far away.

The Demons host Brisbane at the MCG on Thursday night in what will be another blockbuster affair, with Windsor set to use the open space to his advantage once again.
We had seen good glimpses of what Reid has to offer at the top level across the opening three rounds, but Saturday's performance against a formidable Sydney side was next level.
The No.1 pick's physicality was on full display, with Triple M revealing Reid recorded seven tackle breaks in the loss to the Swans - with the all-time recorded tally set at eight in a match by Dustin Martin and Luke Davies Uniacke.
It's an astonishing effort for a fourth gamer, who has broken a league-high 11 tackles this season. Add in 18 disposals, seven tackles, four clearances, two goal assists and a goal of his own and you get a mightily strong outing for the Tongala junior.

With West Coast looking closer to a win over the weekend, they'll smell blood when they host Richmond at Optus Stadium this Sunday as Reid prepares to go head-to-head with the aforementioned Martin.
McKercher had the runs on the board to hold the top place in our Rookie Rankings, with Friday's loss to the Lions the most arduous outing for the speedy Tasmanian so far this year.
The smaller Norwood venue limited McKercher's ability to break lines, find space and use his elite kicking ability, with the No.2 pick managing just the 133 metres gain from his 13 possessions for the afternoon.
Also moving the ball at just 46.2% efficiency, it was a down day for Roos young gun, but he'll be sure to bounce back within the week.

North Melbourne's hopes of a maiden 2024 win won't be buoyed by any means this week when they come up against an undefeated Geelong outfit at Kardinia Park on Sunday.
