Reports from Triple M's Hot Breakfast have broken news on Ben Reid sustaining a new injury separate to his troublesome calf.
Reid was closing in on returning to senior team action but now it appears he will have to wait a bit longer according to Tom Browne.
"Ben Reid was recovering from his calf issue but hurt his hamstring on Saturday, which is a blow," Browne said.
"That's the mail I get from people down at Collingwood."
With his injury history, it is a difficult pill to swallow for Pies fans who are struggling for form from their forwards at the present time.
Browne also said Mason Cox is "pretty sore", with the American now in doubt to face Richmond.
After scoring three goals in a win over the Dogs in round 14, Reid hasn't been a feature for Collingwood and having only managed six games this year there are growing concerns over his fitness with the finals looming, and the Pies losing three of their last four.
