Brandon Ellis will play his last game for Richmond in the Grand Final this Saturday, with the Tiger set to join the Gold Coast Suns in 2020.

Herald Sun journalist Sam Edmund is reporting Ellis, a restricted free agent at season's end, had attracted the interest of several Melbourne clubs, but has agreed on a big money offer from the Suns.

Details of the deal are believed to be $600,000 per season for five years, which, is something the Tigers simply can't match.

There is a slim chance that the wingman stays at Punt Road, given free agency rules allow Richmond to match any rival offer.

However, it seems unlikely as Ellis seeks greater financial security.

Ellis neither confirmed or denied the ongoing speculation surrounding his free agency decision,

"As i said at the start of the year, I'm just going to put it on hold until after the season's done and after hopefully being lucky enough to play in a Grand Final," Ellis said.

"I will hopefully have something sorted in the next couple of weeks."

Ellis, 26, has played 175 games in the yellow and black during his eight year stint and will be looking to finish a dual premiership player when he faces the GWS Giants in the Grand Final on Saturday.
