Former Richmond leader Danny Frawley could be appointed as Collingwood's next AFLW coach, writes Fox Sports.
Richmond great Matthew Richardson told 3AW's Sportsday program that Frawley would suit the job well.
"Spud would make a great coach," Richardson said.
"When he came into Richmond he got us all together and really helped the culture. He'd be a great appointment."
The 1988 all-Australian and Saints Hall of Fame led the Old Haileybury Women's team to a premiership last year and remains highly regarded in local circles for his enthusiasm and passion for the game, writes Fox Sports.
Frawley's resume speaks volume of his experience having coached the Tigers to preliminary final in 2001, part-time assistant at Hawthorn in 2008 and 2009 and was a part-time defensive coach at St Kilda between 2008 and 2014.
His passion and dedication to the game has never wavered and his want to continue to help build this game at local or national level is what makes him appealing to take the reigns of the Collingwood women's team.
In other news, on Tuesday Collingwood announced seven of its players had re-signed for 2020, including skipper Steph Chiocci.
