Western Bulldogs forward Jack Redpath is set to retire at the end of the season, according to a report by Channel Seven.
The 27-year old is reportedly keen to walk away from the game despite still having a year to run on his contract.
“His knees are basically gone [and] he isn’t overly happy at the Bulldogs I understand,” AFL reporter Tom Browne told Channel Seven.
“I understand it all has become a bit of a mental drain, the repeated injuries.”
Redpath suffered an ACL injury midway through the 2016 season and has struggled to have an impact since.
He was added to the Bulldogs' leadership group this season but was again cruelled by injuries, playing just two games.
Redpath made his AFL debut in 2014 and has played 34 games for the Bulldogs, booting 56 goals.
He joins premiership Bulldogs Clay Smith and Shane Biggs in hanging up the boots.
