Radio 6PR football expert Brad Hardie has brought to light that Fremantle’s prize recruit Jesse Hogan was involved in an incident outside of a venue near Mandurah, in which he sustained an injury to his ribs.
The incident reportedly occurred on Saturday night after Hogan had been drinking with friends, resulting in a round one suspension from the Dockers for ‘poor choices’.
“Unfortunately there seems to have been some sort of incident at a venue down Mandurah, Peel way on late Saturday afternoon, early evening,” Hardie said on radio.
“In the car park somehow Jesse sustained some rib injuries, so he won’t be playing round one.
“There’s a bit of CCTV footage of it and at least one other Docker is in attendance.
“Not a good start for Fremantle if Jesse Hogan can’t front up Sunday.”
Fremantle footy boss Peter Bell has said that the club has placed the necessary support measures around Hogan and continues to place his mental health at the forefront of concerns.
The Dockers will line up against North Melbourne without Hogan on Sunday afternoon at Optus Stadium.
