The Gold Coast Suns are reportedly now the front runners to secure the services of Western Bulldog midfielder Lin Jong.

Jong, who controversially toured Collingwood's headquarters mid-season as he weighed up his future, has received a substantial offer from the Suns, according to Channel Seven's Tom Browne, and is favouring a move north.

Jong played 16 games this season, however, he lost his place in the side after suffering a broken collarbone in the qualifying final win against West Coast in Perth.

He returned just a fortnight later and produced a best on ground performance in the VFL Grand Final. However, he was unable to win his spot back in the side for the AFL Grand Final.

Jong has played a total of 39 career games since making his debut in 2012.
