Sam Edmund told SEN Breakfast this morning that the Demons and Giants may agree on a pick swap, which would sent Melbourne's Pick 3 to GWS for their Pick 6 and a future first.

โ€œThe Demons now have picks three and eight in next monthโ€™s draft and itโ€™s prompted some pretty wild predictions about what the Dees are going to do, Edmund said.

โ€œWe donโ€™t think theyโ€™re going to take both picks to the draft."

Only as recent as yesterday, Melbourne received Pick 8 from North Melbourne, meaning the Kangaroos now have Melbourne's 2020 first-round pick as well as 26 and 50.

โ€œItโ€™s big for Melbourne on top of the North Melbourne deal.

โ€œMelbourne can really drive a hard bargain here because the Giants need three, which is effectively the first live pick in the draft because picks one and two will be Matt Rowell and Noah Anderson.

โ€œTom Green is their academy wonder-kid. He is a star. A big inside mid.

โ€œThey got pick six, but they need to get higher up the draft because they donโ€™t want to use their first pick to match a bid for Green.

โ€œIf a bid comes at pick four, then the Giants would have to use pick six and they donโ€™t have another pick until 40.

โ€œUnder this scenario they can use pick three on whoever they want and when a bid comes in for Green, they can use pick 40 to match it."
