Greater Western Sydney star Josh Kelly is reportedly set to shun huge rival offers, most notably from North Melbourne and re-sign with the Giants.
Fox Footy's Gerardย Whateley reported on Wednesday that Kelly will re-commit for a further two seasons.
โJosh Kelly is recommitting to the Giants,โ Whateley said on Fox Footyโsย AFL 360.
โThe negotiations are all but complete โ all the heavy lifting is done. Heโs going to recommit for the next two years and all that really remains is finessing the formal announcement.
"But the storyโs run its course and Kellyโs made his decision and the Giants are extremely comfortable โ theyโre more than comfortable with that, theyโre quite buoyant.โ
The 22-year-old has played 82 games for the Giants since being selected with pick No.2 in the 2013 National Draft.
While already highly rated, he has enjoyed a breakout season this year, averaging a career high 29.4 disposals, 6.3 tackles, 4.9 inside 50s and 4.8 clearances per game.
North Melbourne was rumoured to have offered Kelly a nine-year deal worth over $9 million.
