Greater Western Sydney star Josh Kelly is reportedly set to shun huge rival offers, most notably from North Melbourne and re-sign with the Giants.

Fox Footy's Gerardย Whateley reported on Wednesday that Kelly will re-commit for a further two seasons.

โ€œJosh Kelly is recommitting to the Giants,โ€ Whateley said on Fox Footyโ€™sย AFL 360.

โ€œThe negotiations are all but complete โ€” all the heavy lifting is done. Heโ€™s going to recommit for the next two years and all that really remains is finessing the formal announcement.

"But the storyโ€™s run its course and Kellyโ€™s made his decision and the Giants are extremely comfortable โ€” theyโ€™re more than comfortable with that, theyโ€™re quite buoyant.โ€

The 22-year-old has played 82 games for the Giants since being selected with pick No.2 in the 2013 National Draft.

While already highly rated, he has enjoyed a breakout season this year, averaging a career high 29.4 disposals, 6.3 tackles, 4.9 inside 50s and 4.8 clearances per game.

North Melbourne was rumoured to have offered Kelly a nine-year deal worth over $9 million.
