Adelaide forward Charlie Cameron will be courted by Brisbane in the upcoming off-season, according to Fox Footy's chief AFL journalist Jake Niall.

Niall not only suggested the Lions are keen to secure Cameron ahead of the 2018 season, but believes the Adelaide forward could initiate the move.

Brisbane would be able to facilitate the move given the amount of draft picks at their disposal, as they have two first-round selections.

As well as their own pick (which would currently be the number one selection), the Lions have Port Adelaide's first-round selection (currently 14).

Cameron's contract may be Brisbane's biggest hurdle however, given the forward is contracted to the Crows for next season.

Cameron is one of three young Adelaide stars whose future could lie elsewhere next season, as Jake Lever and Mitch McGovern are both on rival clubs' radars.

Lever is reportedly the subject of much interest from Victorian clubs such as Collingwood, Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs, while McGovern could return home to Western Australia, with both Fremantle and West Coast keen on his services.

Since being selected with the seventh pick in the 2013 National Draft, Cameron has played 66 games for Adelaide, and has kicked 80 goals.
