Adelaide forward Tom Lynch has reportedly spent the weekend in Melbourne as he tries to edge closer to making a decision about his future employer, according to AFL.com.au's Mitch Cleary.

Lynch, who had 15 disposals and kicked one goal in Adelaide's 37-point win over the Western Bulldogs on Friday night at the Adelaide Oval, flew to Melbourne and spent the weekend in Victoria as he weighs up contract options.

Lynch is out of contract at season's end, and is reportedly holding out for more money at Adelaide, although the Crows also have Rory Sloane's deal to negotiate.

The Herald Sun reported back in April that both Lynch's management and the Crows were in disagreement over not only the length of the deal, but also the money involved.

So far in 2018, Lynch has played seven games, averaging 19.7 disposals, 5.7 marks and 2.6 inside 50s per game.

The 27-year-old has become one of Adelaide's most important players, as his link-up play between defence and attack is crucial to the Crows' preferred style of play.
