REPORTS: Miles set to depart Tigerland with rival clubs circling

Richmond midfielder Anthony Miles is set to leave the club with the Tigers holding firm on their original offer to the 25-year-old.

Foxfooty.com.au believe the Tigers have placed a one-year contract offer in front on Miles, although with a number of clubs circling with longer deals, they understand they'll have a tough time retaining him.

Miles only managed five games at senior level in 2017, but his VFL form has seen him catch the eye of a number of clubs, including the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Geelong, Carlton and Adelaide.

However, a deal for Miles doesn't look likely until the final hours of the trade period, as bigger names need to be moved to allow for Miles to become a priority for prospective buyers.

Since moving to Richmond ahead of the 2014 season, Miles became a regular in the senior side, and finished in the top six of the Jack Dyer Medal in both 2015 and 2016.

He has played 60 games for the Tigers, and has averaged 23.2 disposals, 5.5 clearances and 4.2 tackles per game.

Another Tiger whose future is in limbo is Sam Lloyd, although the forward is still contracted at Tigerland for another season.

Lloyd has also expressed his desire for more game time in 2018, but hasn't had the same interest from rival sides as Miles has received.

The 27-year-old has also made it clear he'd be happy to return to the club should he fail to find a new side, and would be ready to fight for his position in the senior side.
