Geelong looms as a wildcard entrant in the race for wantaway Fremantle star Brad Hill, according to reports.
The Herald Sun is reporting that stalled negotiations between the Saints, Hill's preferred destination, and the Dockers have opened the door for the Cats to make a late push to secure the 26-year-old's services.
It is believed that Geelong would be willing to part with midfielder Sam Menegola, who has played 65 games for the Cats since the club selected him with the 66th pick in the 2015 national draft, in an attempt to facilitate a trade with Fremantle.
The Dockers are reportedly keen to reunite with 27-year-old Menegola, who previously spent three years on the club's rookie list.
Menegola played 12 games for the Cats in an injury-riddled 2019, gathering 19 disposals per game.
