Collingwood has reportedly told defender Sam Murray he won't be offered a new contract for the 2020 season, despite his ASADA ban ending in December, according to AFL.com.au.

Murray was kept on the club's list this year despite being ineligible to play, and recently won a battle with ASADA and had his ban cut short to just 18 months, down from a potential four-year suspension.

It means the 22-year-old will need to find his third club in five years, after two seasons at Sydney in 2016-2017.

Murray played 13 games for the Pies in 2018, before he was banned on August 17, 2018 for having cocaine in his system on game day.
