Gold coast midfielder Kade Kolodjashnij is looking for a fresh start, and Melbourne are circling the 2013 number five draft selection, according to The Age.

Kolodjashnij's career at the Suns started strongly, as he played 18 games in his first season with the club, followed by 22 and 19 over the next two years.

However, injuries derailed his last two seasons, with the 23-year-old playing 19 matches over the past two years after battling concussion issues.

Kolodjashnij recently received good news with the concussions relating to a neck injury, meaning they should not have an impact on the longevity of his career.

Gold Coast are reportedly open to letting Kolodjashnij leave, with a move away from the club seemingly a win-win for both parties.

The midfielder is out of contract at season's end, and Melbourne look to be leading the race for the wingman.
