Retired Geelong premiership player Zach Tuohy has been unveiled as a contestant on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Australia, which will take place in South Africa.

Tuohy was one of 11 contestants revealed to be participating in the 2025 edition of the reality  TV show, which premiered on Sunday night, and will feature alongside NRL great Sam Thaiday and Olympic gold medallist Shayna Jack.

The Irishman is fresh out of the AFL, having called time on his 288-game career at the cessation of the 2024 season.

"I feel like it's the kind of challenge I need," Tuohy said on the announcement of his latest career move.

"Football is finished and I don't like not being challenged. I think, when all is said and done, I'll be happy to have done this."

The 35-year-old was a premiership player for Geelong, featuring in 168 games for the club to add to his six seasons at Carlton, having moved down under after a career in Gaelic football.

He would retire as the most-capped Irishman in V/AFL history, surpassing the late Jim Stynes' previous record of 264 matches.

Tuohy is representing the Heart Kids charity during his time on the show.

The veteran defender is set to link up with Victorian local club Baccus Marsh for the 2025 Ballarat Football Netball League season after his stint in the jungle.
