Retired Richmond premiership player Marlion Pickett has found himself a new home for the 2025 season, landing at Riddell District (RDFL) club Melton South.
Pickett decided to hang up the boots after the 2024 season, making him a priority signing for teams at the local level.
The premiership hero immediately joined the Tiwi Islands Football Club in the Northern Territory Football League and now will help the struggling Melbourne side with former Western Bulldog and Giant Sam Darley.
A statement released by the Panthers announced the news.
"Marlion is a close friend of our senior coach (Travis Hodgson), making his decision to join us from a huge field of suitors an easier one for him."
Melton South return to the RDFL after 28 years in the Ballarat Football League.
The Panthers haven't recorded a win in two years.
