Richmond have re-signed key position player Ben Miller to a new two-year deal, with the freshly-inked contract seeing the 24-year-old remain at Punt Road until the end of 2026.

Miller has played 35 games in the yellow and black since debuting against Hawthorn in 2021 and has since proven to be a versatile asset for the Tigers.

The Western Australian has predominantly played as a tall defender for the club, but has been utilised in attack on several occasions across his short career.

Miller has played 10 games for the Tigers already this year as he continues to hone a role under coach Adem Yze, with the swingman already nearing a career-high for games in a season, which was set last year with 13 appearances.

Richmond list manager Blair Hartley said Miller has continued to for win his time with the Tigers, which will now extend for the coming years.

"Ben is a great teammate and a player that has put in a mountain of work to give himself the best chance to succeed," Hartley said.

"He has taken his game to a new level this season and thoroughly deserves this contract extension.

"We look forward to having Ben and his family as part of the Club for another two years and beyond."

Miller's new deal will take him to nine years with the club, with the 198cm Tiger set to hold a key role in Richmond's future under Yze.

Barring any injury concerns, Miller is in line to face Adelaide on Thursday night when the Tigers take on the Crows in South Australia to open Round 13.
