Richmond legend Jack Riewoldt has announced a footballing homecoming, revealing he will pull the boots on for Tasmanian State League side Clarence at least once in 2024.
Drafted with the 13th pick of the 2006 AFL Draft, Riewoldt would spend 17 seasons on Punt Road, eventually departing Tigerland after 787 goals from 347 games in yellow and black.
Riewoldt reigned supreme across the course of his largely glittering days as a Tiger, collecting a trifecta of premierships, All-Australian blazers and Coleman Medals before all was said and done.
Since calling time on his career at the cessation of the 2023 season, Riewoldt has since busied himself in the Tasmanian community, rallying support and keeping his finger on the pulse ahead of the Apple Isle's eventual AFL entry.
And it is a state level that Riewoldt will push the sun back into the sky on at least one occasion, with the 35-year-old announcing his return to Blundstone Arena on Friday.

Ahead of making his name as a Tiger, Riewoldt would cut his teeth as a Kangaroo, making his debut in red and white at the age of just 16 and tasting premiership success in 2006.
Riewoldt's Roos finished the 2023 TSL season in third place with a 11-7 record, eventually seeing their campaign come to a close by way of a 20-point preliminary final loss to North Launceston at UTAS Stadium.
