Richmond and assistant David Teagueย have parted ways, effective immediately.
The former Carlton senior coach joined the Tigers a month after his Princes Park departure in 2021, with the Blues cutting ties with their former player after 21 wins in 50 games.
Teague was appointed to an assistant role under former coach Damien Hardwick, who departed midway through last year, while the Tigers have undergone large changes between Teague's arrival, headlined by the appointment of Adem Yze as senior coach.
Former assistant Adam Kingsley earned himself the top role at GWS at the end of 2022, while the likes of Ben Rutten, Chris Newman and Jack Ziebell have all taken up assistant roles over the past two years.
A further change in the form of Teague's departure has reportedly followed, with the club confirming the 43-year-old has left the Tigers on mutual terms, looking to explore opportunities elsewhere.
"David has been a valued member of our coaching panel across the past three years and our players have been fortunate to have someone of his coaching calibre at the Club," football boss Tim Livingstone said in a club statement.
"As he turns his attention to the next chapter of his career in football, one of our development coaches will be given a chance to step into the line coaching role and begin working with our forwards as they look to finish the year with some momentum that will carry into 2025.
"We thank David and his family for their commitment to Richmond across the past three years and wish them well for the future."
It is understood Teague, whose contract at Punt Road was nearing an end, will leave his Richmond role with immediate effect, stepping away with four games remaining in Yze's first term at the wheel.
The move will give the Tigers flexibility to promote from within and see out the season while Teague is afforded time to explore his options elsewhere.
On the lookout for a new club, Teague brings a wealth of coaching experience - having held roles with West Coast, St Kilda, Adelaide and the Northern Bullants before being named as Brendon Bolton's caretaker replacement and then full-time successor at the Blues in 2019.

The coaching landscape is set to enter a period of change across the competition, with no role currently more of interest than the senior coaching vacancy at the Eagles.
Richmond could fill Teague's void with a number of young emerging coaches, with ex-players Kane Lambert, Steve Morris and Sam Lonergan all highly-rated within the four walls of the club.
