Richmond have gained a significant selection boost for their Round 1 clash with Carlton, confirming a quartet of senior names are available to return to Adem Yze's side from injury.
The Tigers were without Tom Lynch (foot), Dustin Martin (calf), Toby Nankervis (foot) and Rhyan Mansell (ankle) for their season opener against Gold Coast, which they lost by 39 points.
Lynch is set to return from a foot injury that has placed him out of action since last April, with the Tigers spearhead set to join a new-look forward tandem that now consists of Jacob Koschitzke and Noah Balta.
Martin returns after suffering a corked calf days out from his side's trip to face the Suns, while Nankervis is also available after dealing with some recent soreness in his foot.
Mansell sustained a syndesmosis injury during his side's pre-season draw against Melbourne and has also recovered in time for Round 1.
The Tigers unveiled debutant Seth Campbell in Mansell's absence last week, giving Yze plenty to consider in his forward half options at selection.
Yze will also need to consider whether he runs with a two-ruck setup against the Blues, with Sam Naismith leading the way last week while gaining some assistance from Balta in the ruck as captain Nankervis spent time on the sidelines.
Richmond have noted midfielder Jack Graham remains up to three weeks away with a quad issue, while both Liam Fawcett and Mate Colina are sidelined for the long term with back issues.
The Tigers and Blues clash at the MCG on Thursday night at 7:30pm (AEDT), with Carlton heading into the game on a high following a thrilling comeback win over Brisbane during Opening Round.
