Richard has confirmed a string of number changes ahead of the 2024 season, with a former first-round draftee set to take further strides in the footsteps of a club great.

While new Tiger Jacob Koschitzke will don the number 20 during his first season at Tigerland, a series of Tigers have received updates, including Josh Gibcus who will wear Alex Rance's old No.18 guernsey, trading down from 28.

Also making the switch was Judson Clarke, with forward making the move from No. 42 to 23.

New Tiger draftees Kane McAuliffe (28) and Liam Fawcett (37) earned their stripes, while former Swan and Rookie Draft selection Sam Naismith will wear the number 24 after donning numbers 35 and 10 during his time in the Harbour City.

But while there were switches made within Adem Yze's changing room, the neighbouring lockers of departed legends Jack Riewoldt and Trent Cotchin will remain empty for at least a season after Richmond opted not to hand down the famous No.8 and No.9 guernseys.

Both triple premiership players, Riewoldt and Cotchin combined to make 653 appearances in the yellow and the black, each coming with the numbers they made theirs emblazoned on their backs.

The Yze era at Punt Road commenced in earnest on Friday, with Richmond's first-to-fourth-year players starting their pre-season training programs.
