Richmond have updated the injury status for Tom Lynch and Ivan Soldo, with the latter rupturing his ACL and unlikely to return until 2022.

Soldo injured his knee in a making octets during Friday night's win over Geelong, while Lynch suffered a hamstring injury during the match.

โ€œAs a team, weโ€™re disappointed for him to sustain a long-term injury,โ€ Richmond football boss Tim Livingstone said in a club statement.

โ€œAs we always do with our people, in tough times we rally around them like family, and weโ€™ll continue to support Ivan in the coming days and months throughout his recovery journey.

โ€œHeโ€™s a wonderful player for us, but more importantly, heโ€™s a wonderful person to have as part of our Club. We wish him well in his recovery, and we will be with him every step of the way.โ€

Lynch is set to miss the tigers round 18 clash with Adelaide, but is in line to make a returning time for finals.
