Richmond will be without superstar Dustin Martin for Thursday's clash with Brisbane due to flu-like symptoms.
The Tigers confirmed just hours out from the opening bounce that the triple Norm Smith Medal winner won't partake in the match at the Gabba due to illness.
Martin's absence comes after the Tigers welcomed the return of midfielder pair Jacob Hopper and Marlion Pickett for the Round 16 match, with Dion Prestia (injured), Maurice Rioli Jr. (omitted) and Hugo Ralphsmith (sub) making way.
Richmond has announced Noah Cumberland will replace Martin in Andrew McQualter's starting 22, with Ralphsmith, Ivan Soldo, and Sam Banks all in contention to be included as the starting substitute after being named as emergencies for the match.
Cumberland seemed the obvious like-for-like replacement for the Tigers to consider, while the club also has further reinforcements available given its VFL side has also travelled to Queensland for its match at Brighton Homes Arena on Friday.
Richmond will confirm their final side and tactical sub at 6:20 PM (AEST) on Thursday evening.
