Richmond star Noah Balta is reportedly facing a six-figure legal payout to the victim of his assault at a pub in Mulwala last year.

Balta faced court in January over the December incident, pleading guilty to a single charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He has since been released on bail until his next court hearing on March 27, where he will hear his sentencing.

The Tigers utility has been suspended for Richmond's first month of action, plus the club's two practice matches. Balta has been ordered to complete education and undertake counselling too.

Balta is now also anticipated to face a lawsuit from the victim of his assault, with graphic vision surfacing of the aftermath of the pub brawl.

27-year-old Thomas Washbrook has reportedly been left with lifelong injuries and mental anguish following the incident, with Balta's "arrogant silence" frustrating Washbrook's lawyer, per 7News.

Washbrook recorded a video of his bloody state after the violent encounter, showing a cut forehead and swollen eye.

"Look at the big cut on my head," Washbrook said.

"I came out for a good night, hang out with some 18-year-olds and I get f***ing flogged... for no reason once again.

"...Happens to the big bloke every time."

Washbrook's lawyer John Suta said Washbrook's likely lifelong scarring will also be coupled by mental scarring too.

"A number of the injuries are related to psychiatric impairment as a consequence directly attributable to the assault," Suta said to 7News.

"That includes nervousness, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder."

Suta is also suing Balta for damages.

"I'm still waiting a return call from Mr Balta's counsel," Suta said.

Balta is anticipated to return to action on April 13 against Fremantle, although he'll have to face sentencing two weeks prior back at Corowa Local Court.

Balta currently holds one of the AFL's longest contracts, signing with Richmond last year until 2032.
