Breakout Richmond rookie Noah Cumberland is understood to have suffered a "lower leg" injury at training just one week out from his side's elimination final against Brisbane at the Gabba.
The Tigers have entered the post-season in fine form but are already nursing injuries to several key names ahead of their must-win match.
Superstar midfielder Dustin Martin is expected to line up against the Lions, however there remains a big watch on the triple Norm Smith Medal winner's prospects as he continues to battle a hamstring issue.
Key forward Tom Lynch has been cleared to feature next Thursday night despite a recent groin injury, while three-time premiership Dylan Grimes will need a late finals finish from his side to return to the field in 2022.
The club's injury concerns haven't halted there however, with Cumberland suffering a niggle at training on Thursday, according to Fox Sports' Cath Durkin.
Cumberland has been a key piece in Richmond's rise since being injected into Damien Hardwick's side, booting 18 goals from seven performances in his debut campaign.
Richmond are yet to confirm any injury to the 21-year-old, however remain confident in Cumberland's changes of facing Brisbane, per Durkin's report.
Midfielder Jack Graham is another who will be racing to prove his fitness for September, having battled a foot injury in recent weeks.
Currently placed in a moonboot, Graham remains hopeful the setback won't see him miss his side's elimination final.
"Just a bit of bone stress on the foot," Graham told 7 News this week.
"I've had a bit of turf toe since Round 9 this year. Allowing for that caused other things to happen."
Richmond will confirm their 22-man side to face the Lions next Wednesday night ahead of their trip to the Gabba in the sixth vs seventh clash.
