Fremantle midfielder Will Brodie has been rewarded for his rags-to-riches rise, signing a three-year contract extension after a stellar first season as a Docker in 2022.
The Cockburn-based club announced the blossoming ball-winner had put pen to paper on a three-year extension, tying his future to the Dockers until the end of the 2026 season.
Brodie made his way west during the 2021 trade period after Gold Coast decided to part ways with the former top-10 draftee after just 25 games in five seasons.
The Suns were left to stew for the entirety of last season as Brodie featured in each of Fremantle's 24 fixtures whilst averaging means of 26.8 disposals, 5.8 clearances and 5.3 tackles each week.
Brodie also managed to run out in both of the Dockers' two finals fixtures, taking his personal tally of September appearances beyond Gold Coast's current marker of zero in 12 attempts.
The Shepparton native will continue to fledge alongside Fremantle's young core of talented midfielders in Andrew Brayshaw and Caleb Serong, as well as work at the feet of rucking duo Sean Darcy and Luke Jackson.
While unable to restart with the same verve as last season, Brodie still managed to claim 20 touches and five clearances during Fremantle's shock Round 1 loss to St Kilda on Sunday evening.
Both Brodie and the Dockers will earn their next shot at redemption when they play host to Alastair Clarkson's young Roos on Saturday night at Optus Stadium.
