Brisbane small forward Charlie Cameron is reportedly being closely watched by rival clubs.
Cameron - who has arguably been the best small forward in the game across the past five seasons - has not indicated any semblance of a desire to move, but AFL Media's Cal Twomey believes it's a watch this space.
Speaking on Gettable, Twomey didn't reveal specific clubs who had flagged interest in the two-time All-Australian but made it understood that there'd be a long list of suitors if he were to depart the Lions.
"I keep a trade watch on the players who clubs are keeping a trade watch on," Twomey said.
"And there's a little bit of a club trade watch on Charlie Cameron at the moment."
A few weeks ago, Twomey mentioned Cameron as someone Carlton should go after in a bid to create the most potent forward line in the competition, pairing up with tall forwards Harry McKay and Charlie Curnow.
"The first time was as Carlton should look at a player like that and this time is a little bit different. This time is more clubs are keeping an eye on it just as well.
"He's got a year to go on his contract at the Lions. Do I expect him to ask for a trade at the moment?
"No, but it doesn't stop other clubs showing interest and there are interested clubs in him.
"He's done it before in moving clubs with a year to go on his deal, from Adelaide to Brisbane.
"So marketable in Brisbane so something would have to drastically change."
Cameron was originally drafted by Adelaide in 2013 during the Rookie Draft at Pick 7.
Playing 73 games and kicking 87 goals, the 29-year-old departed the Crows after the grand final loss to Richmond in 2017 for the Lions.
Since, Cameron has added 140 games to his resume, along with 281 goals as a four-time Brisbane Lions leading goal-kicker.
The small forward was also on the end of another grand final defeat in 2023, with Collingwood holding the cup aloft after a four-point victory.
Cameron - who was drafted out of Western Australia - spent six months at Brisbane's Talent Academy before joining the Crows.
Murmurs about his future at the Lions comes as the craft forward has struggled in front of the big sticks.
As the club has stumbled throughout 2024, Cameron has also failed to live up to the impressive benchmark he's set in seasons gone by.
The former Crow has kicked 18.16 in 11 games, which is well below his average.
