West Coast are understood to have tabled a four-year deal to off-contract Brisbane midfielder Deven Robertson, who is seen as a 'player to watch' this coming off-season.
Robertson has gained interest from the Eagles prior to this year as a potentially attainable local product for the Perth powerhouse, who are set to look toward Western Australian talent as part of their rebuild.
The past 12 months have been inconsistent for Robertson, with the Manning-based junior having played in all three of the club's finals matches of 2022 only to find himself on the fringes of senior selection early into this season.
The arrivals of Josh Dunkley and Will Ashcroft to Chris Fagan's midfield group have made opportunities harder to come by for Robertson, who has managed a dozen appearances so far this year - including games in the past three rounds.
West Coast were named as a keen suitor for Robertson last year despite his contract status, with the Eagles again named as a club circling the young onballer this season as his contract nears its expiry.
While Victorian clubs could join the race for Robertson's signature, West Coast have tabled a four-year deal toward the 22-year-old, according to SEN's Tom Morris.
The Lions are also understood to have a contract in front of Robertson, who is yet to confirm his future in Queensland.
“West Coast has a four-year deal in front of him," Morris said on SEN of Robertson's situation on Monday morning.
"Brisbane have a contract in front of him as well. He's from Perth, he's Darren Glass' nephew and the Eagles were keen as well.
"He's a watch, for sure."
Robertson is among a host of Brisbane role players that remain unsigned for 2024, with the likes of Kai Lohmann, Rhys Mathieson, Tom Fullarton and Nakia Cockatoo, among others, yet to know where their future lies.
Veteran duo Daniel Rich and Dayne Zorko are also still off-contract with one round remaining in the home and away season.
Robertson hit new heights during his trio of finals appearances after making a return to Brisbane's senior side last year and will be hoping to do the same when the Lions' September series commences.
Brisbane can claim the minor premiership this weekend with a win over St Kilda if Collingwood fall to Essendon on Friday night.
The Lions will host the Saints at the Gabba on Saturday afternoon at 4:35pm (AEST).
