Fremantle ruck Lloyd Meek has found senior opportunities hard to come by in 2022 having made just six appearances this season.
With Sean Darcy head and shoulders clear as Justin Longmuir's first choice big man, the duties of back-up ruckman have fallen to Rory Lobb. Contracted until the end of next season, a fresh start could be the injection of energy Meek needs headed into the final year of his deal.
Meek played the first three games of the season before he found himself out of the side until Round 7. He has been unable to string together back-to-back games since.
According to AFL Media's Callum Twomey, GWS, West Coast and Melbourne are all showing interest in the 24-year-old who would likely not cost much from a trade or salary perspective.
Opportunities at Fremantle may open up should Meek opt to stay at the Dockers with Lobb looking likely to make a move across the Nullarbor in the player exchange period. The former Giant seeked a move to his original club last season but no deal was reached.
It's widely expected that Lobb will head to the Western Bulldogs this off-season as the Dockers look to clear cap space for the potential arrival of Melbourne ruckman Luke Jackson.
Jackson is out of contract at the Demons and the Dockers have been chasing the Western Australian hard. They are reportedly prepared to offer Jackson massive money over a long-term deal to secure the 20-year-old.
The premiership star has averaged 14 disposals and 11 hitouts per game across the 2022 season.
