Herald Sun Chief Football Writer Mark Robinson has revealed his top 50 players for the 2018 season, with Melbourne ruckman Max Gawn taking out top spot.
Gawn edged out Carlton’s Patrick Cripps and Richmond’s Jack Riewoldt, with the Tiger forward a surprise selection inside the top three.
It was the year of the star ruckman, as Collingwood’s Brodie Grundy claimed the No. 4 spot, with Richmond’s Dustin Martin rounding out the top five.
2018 Brownlow Medallist Tom Mitchell comes in at six, with Sydney’s Lance Franklin close behind in seven.
Premiership defender Jeremy McGovern is the only defender inside the top 10, as he sits in eighth spot.
Collingwood’s Steele Sidebottom and Melbourne’s Clayton Oliver round out the top 10.
