Gold Coast coach Rodney says any club wanting to secure Jaeger O'Meara's signature, will have to hand over two top-10 draft picks.
“We are waiting for Jaeger to give us an indication,” Eade said.
“We are still hopeful. I think he’s torn a little bit himself.
"He's a year younger than Treloar, he's as good a player (plus) his leadership we think he would be worth two first round picks in the top 10."
However, the veteran coach has all but conceded that fellow onballer Dion Prestia will leave the club.
"All the noise is that it looks like it (a request to be traded) is going to happen," Eade said on Thursday.
“We’ve spoken to him and he’s sort of indicated family is a strong pull. I suppose like Dangerfield when he went back to Geelong.
“That’s a strong driver for him.
“If that happens, that’s fine. We will just drive a hard bargain to get compensation for him.”
