Rising Star favourite George Wardlaw is fit and firing for his return from concussion, having been ruled out of the club's past two games under the AFL's guidelines.
The young bull faces his toughest test yet against an All-Australian midfield led by Errol Gulden, Chad Warner, James Rowbottom and returning skipper Callum Mills, while Brownlow hopeful Isaac Heeney awaits the final verdict on his one-match suspension.
Wardlaw's inconveniently timed concussion left him absent for an extra match, though the cult hero is ripe for a return, potentially benefitting from the extra rest.
"That was just really unfortunate it was on a Thursday, the 12-day protocol covers two games rather than just one... he's good to go," coach Alastair Clarkson said on Thursday.
"You don't want to give them a break but sometimes it can be the best thing for them."
A trio of in-favour Roos should also return, with young Wil Dawson recovering from his injured AC joint.
Backman Griffin Logue got through his VFL outing post-ACL tear and will be in-line for the senior squad.
Mainstay in defence Zac Fisher was ruled out of last Saturday's victory with a foot concern but will also be in consideration for a comeback.
"We've got a few guys that are coming back; Wil Dawson's available to play, Griff Logue is coming back from that knee, obviously Zac and a couple of other lads too," Clarkson shared.
"Our list and availability of players is pretty strong... we'll have some challenges with selection."
Youngster Blake Drury is another on the return from a knee injury, though he may battle for a spot with notable recent VFL performers Charlie Lazzaro, Hugh Greenwood and Finnbar Maley.
