Ruck: Brodie Grundy (Collingwood)

Grundy won the ruck battle against Tim English convincingly on Friday night and finished with 58 hit outs. He was also prominent around the ground, where he recorded 23 disposals, four marks and eight tackles.

Ruck Rover: Zach Merrett (Essendon)

After a slow start to the year, Merrett was back to his absolute best against the in-form Lions. He finished with 35 disposals, four marks, six tackles, seven clearances and kicked a goal.

Rover: David Mundy (Fremantle)

With Fyfe unavailable due to concussion, Mundy stepped up and finished with 36 disposals, four marks, ten clearances, four tackles and 530 metres gained in a stunning kicking display.
