Our Rookie Rankings have seen more movement among podium, while two young forwards are beginning to strengthen their places among the top seven after recently entering our rankings.
Just three of our top seven featured over the weekend, with byes and injury limiting the leading names among this year's rookie class during Round 14.
St Kilda debutant Arie Schoenmaker has quickly proven to be one to watch over the home stretch after putting forward a promising performance in his maiden match on Friday against Brisbane.
Selection Criteria: For our Rookie Rankings, we are ONLY selecting players who have made their debut this season.
Other players who may still be eligible for a Rising Star nomination but have already made their debut before the 2024 season will not be considered. I.e. Rising Star eligible players such as George Wardlaw, Angus Sheldrick and Sam Darcy are ineligible, having already played an AFL match before Round 1, 2024.Â
Honourable Mentions:
Arie Schoenmaker (St Kilda)
Nick Watson (Hawthorn)
Harvey Gallagher (Western Bulldogs)
It was another performance Hawks fans are coming to expect from their father-son draft recruit, with Dear's high-flying efforts catching the eye once again.
The athletic tall forward's aerial impact and follow-up work at ground-level were again important, with Dear's effort obvious through the acts that aren't written down on the stats sheet.
The teenager still booted two goals from just five disposals - all of which were contested in Saturday's win over Richmond.

The Hawks will have their bye this weekend, and it would take a dominant performance from an outsider to take Dear's spot at seventh in our Rookie Rankings.
Another big performance from the first-year forward, who booted three goals against the Saints in a 20-point win at the Gabba.
That takes his season tally to 11 majors from just six games, with Morris nicely complementing senior duo Joe Danhier and Eric Hipwood in Chris Fagan's attacking third.
The Western Jets graduate stood tall when the Saints narrowed the margin late too, with a 50-metre penalty being awarded before Morris slotted his final goal of the night to end a three-goal run for the travelling side.

The Lions head to Adelaide this weekend for an enticing qualifying final rematch against Port Adelaide on Saturday.
The teenager's extended injury battle will begin to have his spot at fifth overall in our rankings come under threat given the form of both Morris and Dear.
McKercher hasn't played since Round 9 while Morris is holding down a role in a surging Brisbane outfit, placing the Tasmanian under some pressure should his return be delayed further.

The Roos young gun isn't expected to come into the side for some time still, making a late charge for a podium finish still alive.
One of three rookies on our list who had a bye over the weekend, with Clohesy's place in our rankings often floating around the middle-range mark in our top seven.
His return this weekend, coupled with McKercher's expected continued absence, should see the reigning Fothergill-Round-Mitchell Medal winner hold his place in fourth for another week at least.

The Suns return on Sunday with a trip west to face Fremantle as they look to break back into the top eight.
A bye round has seen the young Melbourne ball winner fall one spot after climbing into second place the week prior.
With St Kilda's Darcy Wilson having his bye this weekend, a strong enough performance against North Melbourne on Saturday night could see Windsor move back into second.

The gap between second and third is minuscule, and with the Demons wanting to respond after their break it could help Windsor's prospects for next week's rankings.
After falling to third last week, the Saints wingman has swung back into second spot and swapped with Windsor for the second time in as many weeks.
The Murray Bushrangers product bounced back from a disappointing Round 13 performance to play a role in the Saints' narrow defeat to Brisbane on Friday night.
The young midfielder collected 18 disposals at a rate of 83% efficiency and gained over 320 metres while adding a goal on the night.

The Saints have their bye this weekend, which could see Wilson potentially fall to third again if Windsor performs well in his return from the bye.
The Eagles star still has another week to serve in his two-game suspension, which came either side of the club's Round 14 bye.
There's been little to suggest his spot at No.1 on our Rookie Rankings is under threat since his suspension started, with Reid having more than enough runs on the board from his stellar opening half of the year.

The Eagles return this weekend to face Essendon, with Reid's comeback came coming in Round 16 against Hawthorn.
