Our Rookie Rankings have seen more movement among podium, while two young forwards are beginning to strengthen their places among the top seven after recently entering our rankings.

Just three of our top seven featured over the weekend, with byes and injury limiting the leading names among this year's rookie class during Round 14.

St Kilda debutant Arie Schoenmaker has quickly proven to be one to watch over the home stretch after putting forward a promising performance in his maiden match on Friday against Brisbane.

Selection Criteria:ย For ourย Rookie Rankings, we are ONLY selecting players who have made their debut this season.

Other players who may still be eligible for a Rising Star nomination but have already made their debut before the 2024 season will not be considered. I.e. Rising Star eligible players such as George Wardlaw, Angus Sheldrick and Sam Darcyย are ineligible, having already played anย AFL match before Round 1, 2024.ย

Honourable Mentions:
Arie Schoenmaker (St Kilda)
Nick Watson (Hawthorn)
Harvey Gallagher (Western Bulldogs)

3. Caleb Windsor (-1)

A bye round has seen the young Melbourne ball winner fall one spot after climbing into second place the week prior.

With St Kilda's Darcy Wilson having his bye this weekend, a strong enough performance against North Melbourne on Saturday night could see Windsor move back into second.

The gap between second and third is minuscule, and with the Demons wanting to respond after their break it could help Windsor's prospects for next week's rankings.
