The St Kilda Saints have confirmed contract extensions to six members of last year's squad, keeping them at the club for the 2025 AFL season.
Announced on Friday, Jimmy Webster, Ryan Byrnes, Liam Stocker, Angus McLennan, Max Heath and Isaac Keeler have all re-signed for next season, inking one-year contract extensions.
The group is headlined by Webster, a veteran of the Saints who has appeared in 163 matches since his debut against Carlton in Round 7, 2013. However, he only featured in 15 this season - the fewest games he's played in a season since 2020.
It also includes Liam Stocker, who has become a mainstay of the Saints team after being delisted by the Carlton Blues. In 16 matches last season, Stocker has repeatedly been used as the team's go-to tagger against some of the opposition's best midfielders.
โWe're really pleased to be in a position to provide some stability for these valued players,โ EGM Football David Misson said in a statement.
โThe roles these guys play for us aren't always glamorous, but they are crucial to our system and our gameplan.
โWe look forward to seeing the impact they can have across the pre-season, as we look to capitalise on the momentum we captured late in the season.โ
The decision to re-sign the six players comes after they confirmed contract extensions to Mason Wood, Dan Butler, Cooper Shaman and Lance Collard earlier this week.
