St Kilda's football department has reportedly undergone a significant change, with a key figure departing as the Saints' off-season kicks into full swing.

St Kilda bowed out of this year's finals series in week one, falling to the GWS Giants in an elimination final at the MCG.

The Moorabbin club's priorities have firmly transitioned to their off-season operations, including list management and the ongoing construction of its football department.

According to SEN reporter Tom Morris, the Saints underwent a key football department change on Wednesday.

Dr. Ben Robbins, the club's head of mental health and wellbeing, is understood to have departed his Moorabbin post following the conclusion of the Saints' season.

Morris added Dr. Robbins, a renowned psychologist, is apparently being courted by Essendon and Brad Scott, whom Robbins worked with during their time at Arden Street with North Melbourne.

The Bombers, to this point, have not announced a Robbins addition to their present football department.

Essendon did, however, announce on Tuesday that long-time list boss Adrian Dodoro would transition out of the position by November, with ex-Eagle Matt Rosa earning the role of AFL Talent & Operations Manager at Tullamarine.

Night one of this year's National Draft is scheduled for November 20.
