Dan Butler has reportedly re-signed with St Kilda for a further two years, tying him to Moorabbin until at least the end of the 2024 season.

The ex-Tiger and 2014 No. 67 pick has played 101 career games, 56 of which have come in Saints colours.

St Kilda confirmed Butler's new deal on Tuesday, expressing their excitement in retaining the small forward.

โ€œDan has been a staple of our forward line for the past few years and has proven his importance to the line-up across his time at the club.

"His pressure acts and willingness to play an at-times sacrificial role for the greater good of the team is a real credit to Danโ€™s character.

The 26-year-old Butler is coming off a scintillating five-goal performance against the West Coast Eagles last Sunday afternoon, upping his 2022 season tally to 16.

Butler's Saints currently sit ninth on the ladder and will be looking to rocket up into the top eight this weekend when they face Hawthorn at Marvel Stadium on Saturday.
