News Corp reported on Tuesday that Rockliff and the club have hit a road block in negotiations, with the Lions unwilling to agree to the skipper's asking price.
Rockliff is reportedly requesting a five-year deal worth $4 million.
The 26-year-old has played 126 games for the Lions in seven seasons with the club.
He has averaged 27.6 disposals in nine games this season.
