With St Kilda playing scintillating football at the moment and a stacked midfield, onballer Luke Dunstan could be forced out at the end of the season, according to the Herald Sun.

The Saints opted to go in a different direction in the off-season and bolstered their midfield after acquiring the likes of Brad Hill and Zak Jones during the free agency/trade period, which has left out Dunstan as a result.

Dunstan, 25, played in Round 1, but was dropped for Rounds 2 and 3. It was confirmed earlier this week that Dunstan suffered a torn pectoral muscle during the Saints' recent scratch match.

He is now expected to miss a big chunk of the rest of the season, which could prompt rival clubs to bid for the midfielder.

Originally from South Australia, Port Adelaide or Adelaide could loom as potential suitors for Dunstan.
