St Kilda veteran Nathan Brown is set to play on in 2020, after reportedly signing an extension with the Saints.

According to AFL.com.au, Brown's career was hanging by a thread after St Kilda's moves in the trade period, but following the delisting of wingman Jack Newnes, the Saints have found a spot for Brown for next season.

Brown's career will now go into a 14th season, after it began with Collingwood in 2008.

The 30-year-old spent eight years at the Pies, and was a member of their 2010 premiership side.

He moved to the Saints after the 2016 season, and has since played 53 games for the club, including 16 in 2019.
